As their academic year comes to an end earlier than planned, we say Good Luck & Goodbye to our year 13 and year 11 students today. Some of who will be returning to study with us come September, others who we wish all the best for their futures!
At our Year 11 Goodbye Huddle this morning RIC had its biggest Google Meet since lockdown began with nearly 100 students and members of staff joining to say farewell to this amazing year group, lots of whom have been with us since Year 7.
The end of the year wouldn’t have been right with our annual awards ceremony. There were 30 awards in total – an outstanding achievement award for each subject plus some special commendations. Jamie was our biggest winner with no less than five awards, including the honour of the ‘ Mr “I know the Casio Calculator Manual by Heart”’ award!
With messages of goodbye of good luck from the Heads of School, Form Tutors and teachers and even some speeches from the students, there was lots of laughing, singing and even a few tears. To quote Leighton, our Co-Head of Lower School, this has undeniably been ‘our best ever Year 11 yet.’
Each year 11 student was sent an E-Card for them all signed & featuring messages from the RIC staff.
Good Luck & Best of wishes from all of us at RIC!
