While we have all been staying at home, to keep up the sense of RIC community we have curated a new photography contest to keep our RIC students’ creativity growing. This photography contest will run monthly with a theme based on relevant events of the time.
Embracing the world of virtual schooling in conjunction with our RIC Without Walls online programme, our PE department have created RIC Fit, an online platform for fitness training at home.
Our Community Learning group have also curated, RIC Random Acts of Kindness. A platform of activities for families & communities as well as stories on what our staff & students are giving back.
Launching today is our RIC Virtual Common Room for our boarding students. An online space to connect, communicate, create, share and simply catch up!
Mindfulness is all about maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment. With all of us working from home it can be more difficult to keep that work/home balance all in one place.
To help with this our very own Nadia is hosting two live mindfulness sessions per week for students which can be found & joined via this link. Nadia has also put together five mindfulness tips for you to try at home.
Over the Easter holidays one of our brilliantly creative students, Ellis, has been volunteering alongside her Grandad to make scrubs for the NHS Nurses & Doctors. A big well done and THANK YOU from everyone at RIC!
We all need movie recommendations during The Great Lockdown. Where better place to get them that from our Film & Media teachers?
So far we have recommendations from Jenny, David and Mark. Which films do you like? Which of these will you check out?
Visit www.ricfilmandmedia.co.uk for further recommendations from the film team!
Whilst we remain on lockdown, it is more important than ever to keep ourselves motivated and enthusiastic about exercise. Not only for obvious health reasons, but for our mental health too. That is why, we are setting you a monthly sporting challenge.
